The soup plate is 263mm in diameter. Earthenware.

The impressed mark reads "T.C. BROWN-WESTHEAD, / MOORE & CO."
The impressed registration diamond is for 2 December 1879, parcel 4. 2 patent numbers are listed for this registration. Dr. Godden notes that it is for a 'Design for tureen, and for plate forms'.2
