Cauldon Place and Bell Works
Griffin sprigged wares

According to Dr Godden bone china wares with this sprigging were made at Cauldon Place and earthenware examples at the Bell Works. He is possibly right but I would like to see some further evidence than we have at present.

Pattern 35 Mug

The mug is 74mm high, 77mm diameter and has a handle protruding 25mm.
The white sprigging has some staining, which has come out rather more strongly in the photos than on the mug. I fear you are going to have to take my word that the sprigged mark does contain the number 35. It is quite difficult to see even on the original.
