'Royal Lily'

This printed pattern is illustrated in a print of a jug in Godden's Ridgway Porcelains. The pattern name is known marked on other pieces. A version of it was also produced by Dillwyn in Swansea.

The toilet jug and basin. Earthenware.

As is normal for Ridgway & Abington there are no marks whatsoever.

It is possible that this jug & basin do not belong together despite having the same print. The bowl has a different edge moulding to the Francis Morley basin below, which clearly matches the jug. This is probably a marriage.

Francis Morley unidentified pattern 1

This pattern has added colour so it should have a pattern number, but there is nothing on either jug or bowl.

The mark appears to be the old Ridgway, Morley, Wear, & Co. crown mark for earthenware with the "F. MORLEY & Co." added.
